“We have purposefully moved towards ensuring that the investment of Linstow Baltic in development of new and existing sites is simultaneously an investment in public well-being and compliance with principles of sustainable development.”
Andis Kublačovs, Linstow Baltic project director
Convenient access using various means of transport
The location of ORIGO ONE business centre perfectly suits the sustainable development ideology in terms of accessibility – its placement in close proximity to all types of public transport. Synergy with the central railway station makes this location unique.
The reconstructed intersection of Satekles and Elizabetes streets provides easier and safer access to public transport.

The environment of ORIGO ONE has been developed in a way that enables easy access for visitors with health issues and families with children.
We ensure convenient access to the business centre using such means of transport that reduce pollution in the city, for example, bicycles, scooters and electric vehicles. We encourage our visitors to use such means of transport that do not increase the level of pollution in the city environment.
The underground car park has a spacious bicycle parking that can be safely accessed using a special bike path. In addition, we offer the possibility to make small repairs to your bicycle. The car park has specially designated places for parking of shared cars. Car sharing reduces the number of vehicles on city streets. If you come to work with your colleagues, feel free to park in the designated place.
“Taking into consideration public interests, safety and development of the business centre, Linstow Baltic reconstructed the intersection of Satekles and Elizabetes streets as a gift to the city.”

The new multifunctional ORIGO ONE business center has received the certificate with “excellent” final rating, which is the highest rating received by any business centre in the Latvia.
ORIGO ONE was constructed on an already previously built plot, with minimum environmental impact (linden trees along Elizabetes Street, greeneries along Satekles Street, as well as in the green gardens on terraces of Origo One business center.
Our goal is to preserve the environment for future generations we have and even improve it.
Electric vehicle charging
ORIGO ONE promotes use of environment-friendly means of transport by providing the possibility to charge them. The underground car park offers electric vehicle charging stations.

Tenants’ portal for exchange of information
In order to reduce the amount of paper used in communication with our tenants, we have created an electronic portal, in which we can easily contact our tenants’ representatives. This also ensures data security.
Responsible consumption and production

Rainwater for watering plants
Various solutions have been implemented in ORIGO ONE for saving water, reducing rainwater run-off, and encouraging rainwater infiltration on the green roofs and terraces of the courtyards. The terraces and green roofs are watered using rainwater, which reduces run-off into municipal stormwater sewers.
To reduce use of water resources, if necessary, flowerbeds will be watered manually instead of using a sprinkler system.
Clean water and sanitation
Responsible consumption and production
Waste sorting and recycling
We treat waste management responsibly. Employees and b/c visitors have the possibility to use waste sorting bins to facilitate recycling and reuse of resources.
The option to sort waste is also ensured for ORIGO ONE tenants.

Since the commissioning of the building, ORIGO ONE business centre implements an international energy efficiency program, the purpose of which is efficient utilisation of energy in building management. The following measures have been implemented.
Currently the focus is being shifted from reducing energy consumption to using energy more efficiently. Efficient use means:
Use of high-quality LED lights;
Replacement of old electrical equipment with new devices that perform the same function yet consume less energy;
Improvement and expansion of the existing BMS (Building Management System) to allow more precise adjustment of the indoor climate in the business centre, thereby achieving more efficient use of energy resources;
Calibration and adjustment of all technical devices to achieve optimum use of resources and thereby achieve maximum efficiency in line with the high set requirements of ORIGO ONE and efficient building management.
All of the implemented energy efficiency measures are focused on improving the working and urban environments in the long run.
Use of gentle cleaning agents in cleaning indoor areas
We encourage our parters to use cleaning agents that do not harm nature or human health.
Climate action
Use of sustainable construction materials
Only FSC certified timber products were used in constructing the building. A very responsible accounting system is used in delivery and use of all building materials. The interior decoration does not use paints containing harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Sustainable cities and communities
Reducing light pollution
According to the BREEAM requirements, the brightness of outdoor advertisements and lamps is reduced during night-time to reduce light pollution in the city. We maximally use daylight for the terrace gardens.
In the offices, the depth of rooms is calculated in such a way to ensure that daylight illuminates as much of the room as possible.
Sustainable cities and communities
Indoor climate in the building
The new ORIGO ONE building is not only visually pleasing from outside, but it also caters to the needs of the everyday life and health of its employees and visitors by ensuring optimum lighting, room acoustics, thermal comfort and air quality. For example, the ventilation system has carbon filters that reduce the air pollution created by diesel trains arriving at the station and its impact on human health.

Whatever we would call car sharing in the end it boils down to the same thing – two or more people sharing a car to get from point “A” to point “B” rather than driving alone. The benefits are numerous both for yourself, your family, your community and the environment. You save money on running costs, you save time looking for parking spaces and you help to save the planet by reducing your carbon footprint.

Tips for car sharing:
Agree on how often you want to share the driving:
Alternate Daily
Alternate Weekly
Alternate Monthly
What are the days you can/wish to carpool?
What will be the pick-up order and drop-off order?
Where will you meet?
Split costs.
Calculate the fuel costs based on the distance driven, additional fees (tolls, parking, etc.), and fuel consumption of your vehicle. Depending on the number of people in the car, divide the cost of driving alone by the number of people, this will be your per trip cost for each participant. Agree if the driver pays a portion or if the passengers cover the full cost.
One-time.
If you are planning a one-time carpool, agree on “”when the payment”” will take place (beginning or end of the trip) and “”in what form”” (cash, electronic payment, etc.).
Recurring.
If you are planning a recurring carpool, specify the frequency at which the driver will be paid and how the driver will be paid.
Car owners / drivers.
Car owners should keep their vehicle clean, decide if smoking, eating, pets are allowed in the vehicle and communicate this to the passengers beforehand so that there are no misunderstandings.
Be on time!
Agree on pickup times, and respect the schedule.
